What makes us unique?
What sets us apart is our love for details, which we reflect in all areas: from spacious, individual rooms to our first-class restaurant with in-house renowned wines, and our modern spa area. We meet every requirement for the recipe for an unforgettable hotel stay, in the midst of our dreamlike home - the Ruwertal. It is primarily the versatility with which we create a comprehensive guest experience of a special kind.
Lived Tradition
A journey back to our birth hour, the year 1950: Angela Weis, née Pelzer, founds the cozy 'Weinhaus Pelzer' and thus paves the way for our today's Hotel Weingut Weis.
With her husband Karl Weis by her side, the two manage to expand the wine house into a hotel with great diligence and commitment over the following decades.
In 1980, it is time for Herbert Weis, the son of Angela and Karl Weis, to join the family business after attending hotel management school.
In his love for Ruwer wine, Herbert Weis follows in the footsteps of his parents. It is therefore not surprising that in 1982 he expanded his family's winery 'Weingut Karl Weis' to include the renowned 'Weingut Erben von Beulwitz' from the neighboring village of Kasel.
Since 1989, Herbert Weis has been running the Hotel Weingut Weis together with his wife Mechthild Weis. In their quest to create a second home for their guests, Herbert and Mechthild Weis are in no way inferior to Angela and Karl Weis.
Since 2019, Caroline Weis has been part of the family business, representing the third generation of the Weis family.
